Accreditations and Certifications

The focus of Sea Base is the needs and priorities of our Scouts as well as on continuously developing our adventures, food service and customer service in order to achieve total quality – in other words performing with the highest quality and efficiency on every level.

With consistent dedication to the highest impact on Scouts and the lowest impact on our environment we have become certified by the following industry leading organizations:

National Camp Accreditation Program Certified

5 Year Authorization (2019 – 2023) – The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America’s National Camp Accreditation Program (NCAP) is to help elevate camps to new levels of excellence in delivering Scouting’s promise to youth. Camps will engage in a rigorous review of facilities, continuous improvement, and correction or elimination of substandard practices.

The NCAP achieves this purpose through the following:

  • National camp standards
  • Application and Authorization to Operate review
  • Camp Strategic Analysis
  • Continuous Camp Improvement Program
  • Annual camp assessment process

Only camps that successfully complete all five aspects of the NCAP are BSA accredited camps.

American Camp Association Certified

The American Camp Association is a community of camp professionals who, for over 100 years, have joined together to share our knowledge and experience and to ensure the quality of camp programs. Because of our diverse 9,000 plus membership and our exceptional programs, children and adults have the opportunity to learn powerful lessons in community, character-building, skill development, and healthy living — lessons that can be learned nowhere else.
